SemiCycle is a current leader in semiconductor industry recycling. We know our world is a precious and limited resource, which is why it is our mission to become the world leader and foremost authority on integrated circuit (IC) tray and other electronics scrap recycling. As IC trays and other electronics scrap are primarily made from non-biodegradable materials, they contribute significantly to pollution worldwide. Because of this fact and the renewed emphasis placed on product ecology over the past several years, we have made it our responsibility to ensure a substantial reduction in the number of IC trays unnecessarily destroyed or disposed of in landfills.

We maintain the highest possible safety and environmental standards throughout all SemiCycle operations. We hope to continue to improve our recycling abilities and efficiency to make tray and other electronics scrap recycling even more cost-effective for our customers, so that improper disposal of non-biodegradable plastics is a problem of the past.

What We Do?

SemiCycle offers a range of services in the handling, processing, cleaning and recycling of semiconductor trays and other types of electronics packaging such as products for the storage and transportation of circuit boards, computer parts, cellular products and more.

We purchase and collect most types of used and surplus hard plastic semiconductor trays from surface-mount technology (SMT) companies and ship them (at no cost to you) to our recycling plant in Shenzhen, the PRC, where we process them including sorting, inspection, cleaning and anti-static coating, if appropriate. We pay for all trays collected as well as all shipping expenses.

Once the trays arrive at the plant in Shenzhen, they are put through our five-step SemiCycle Process, where they will be sorted, cleaned and inspected for reuse. Recycled trays that do not meet our industry’s strict quality requirements are ground and recycled as regrind and recompounded materials for use in the manufacture of new plastic products.

After passing the stringent quality control process, the reusable trays are offered for sale to electronic device manufacturers who can thus benefit from the expedited availability and competitive costs provided by high quality reprocessed trays. Our recycling programs provide our customers with opportunities to select the packaging products that best meet their requirements in terms of cost and environmental preferences.
